Discovering Strength, Healing, Inspiration

Messages of Hope, Healing & Love

What changed in your life to help you heal? How do you continue to offer yourself the gift of healing each day of your life?

One of the main reasons I began writing this blog, was to heal from my postpartum depression, and to find a source of fulfillment outside of being a new stay-at-home mom. I notice that many of us who write do so for healing, and purpose in our lives. It is amazing how now, our thoughts can be shared with thousands, even millions in seconds, whereas, in the past you would have had to hope someone would want to accept your manuscript for publishing.

Thank you to all of you who have shared in this journey with me, and offered your support, your comments, and just being you.

This past year has challenged me to look deep within myself and discover more fully who I am, just as me, and it has been quite a wonderful experience. I’ve learned more deeply how important my spiritual life is, how much I love to love and be loved, how much I feel blessed to be a mother and wife, and how it is truly a gift to share the gift of healing with others, and in return receive healing.

Since I often find it challenging to sit down and write, with a three-and-a-half year old always by my side, I have enjoyed writing on my Facebook page and sharing brief messages with those who stop by.  I want to share some of them with you because they are a great source of my healing, my heart, and my hopes for you & for me.

May you be blessed today and always!

Spending time with those who love you, and who you love opens your life for powerful healing, and pure experiences of joy. May you be blessed with love in your life.

Today is a new day!
It’s the start of a new week!
Your life can begin renewed when you choose to show yourself and others the gift of forgiveness;

Snow is blowing and falling here, winter storm Nemo. But within my heart and body I am calm. Embracing this inner calm  grounds me  when my world is in chaos. We all need to try to find ways to be centered and calm when life throws us a storm–whatever we can’t control outside ourselves. Because we do have the ability to control how we feel and react to the outside world.

May you be blessed with calm in your mind, body & spirit today and always.

Grateful today for the gift of the human spirit, that has the courage and strength to move forward even after faced with difficulties or challenges.

You have an incredible ability to heal, and move forward along your journey.

Hear Me Long Enough to Listen

One of the greatest ways to connect to another person is to give him/her the gift of your listening ear. Every single one of us wants to be heard. We want our words to mean something to someone else, because the words we speak come from within our being. Just as you long for attention from another person, someone else longs for your attention. During my years as a spiritual counselor, I’ve discovered that listening, usually without saying a word, to someone’s story is most often the greatest healing gift I can offer; and within personal relationships it is the one of the greatest gifts I can receive.

When you feel listened to you are empowered to trust more deeply in the wonderful, amazing, incredible, fabulous, unique, (& so much more) person you are! -Bella Bleue

I invite you:

  •  To make an extra special effort to really listen to someone you care about.
  • After you walk away from this experience take some time to reflect on what you learned about this person that you hadn’t noticed before AND
  • Reflect on what it was like to be so fully present for another.
  • If you are the one who needs to be listened to: Ask that the other person to listen

It’s amazing how when we “Hear Someone Long Enough to Listen” we are giving an incredible gift, and at the same time receiving so much in return.

I originally shared this post in my first weeks of blogging. I sometimes return to my writings to see if there is anything I need to reflect on, or that speaks to me in a different way at this moment in life. After sharing my last post about healing our brokennessI reflected some more…and part of  ‘naming’ what I feel is also being able to share my story with someone and be listened to.

I continue to be grateful for the supportive community of readers and writers here from all over the world.

As we listen to each other and support each other, a deeper healing is happening in our lives and in our world.

Connecting Beyond the Boundaries of Space and Time

One of the best gifts of being a ‘blogger’ is meeting and connecting with people across the globe who share their wisdom, strength, pain, healing, inspiration, art and so much more.  In this day and age of the cyber-world, it is amazing how connected we can be with people we’ve never met before, and yet, they transform our lives and we are transforming theirs. I am so astounded by the heart-felt sharing that happens here in this little piece of the world I am apart of. And I again, want to say thank you! Each of you is a Blessing!

I am finding that in some ways, I am at a lack of words to express all that I want to say tonight. I realize that I am pretty drained right now—so much of my energy over the last few weeks was being consumed by the discernment I was personally and collectively undergoing about my family’s future. And I need a reboot.  All is well, now. We have figured out what we need. We have worked on being more affirming of the gifts we have, accepting challenges that aren’t always fun, and trusting more in our faith.

Thank you for the gift of your listening hearts and beautiful sharing.

In life we need each other. I know I have said this so many times before. But it is so very deeply true to who we are, as human beings. We yearn for connection, and it is the greatest source of tangible strength that we have—and at least in this day and age it comes not only through the person who sits beside us, or the pet we have, but through the words and messages of the people who grace our Blog page.

So give yourself a pat on the back, and know you are making a difference in someone’s life today.

Thank you for your incredible gifts!

Washing Away Our Scratches

So the inspiring moment I want to share with you today comes from my 2 1/2 year old son…from the ‘Mouth’s of Babes’ we learn deep truths about our humanity…the truths we often forget when we are adults…

Me: “S, you have a scratch on your head.”

S: “I do?!”

Me: “Yes, right above your eye.”

S: “Okay mama. Can you wash it off for me?”

And with that…

Wouldn’t it be nice if all we had to do was wash away our scratches at the bathroom sink?

Sure it would.

We have the chance to wash away our bruises, scratches, boo-boos every day—even the ones deep down inside us.

How are you going to take care of yourself today?

  • Set a realistic goal about self-care
  • Be intentional about carrying it out
  • Reward yourself for your good deed…for you!

Blessings, Erin, Bella Bleue

The Healing Power of Sharing Your Story

In my time here in the blogging community I have had the sacred opportunity to read people’s stories-and share my own. The stories that come from deep within our hearts…the ones that make you feel..because you know that could be your story too, or someone else’s story has already been part of your own story. There is great power in how our story—the way we make sense of our experience—effects and impacts our healing journey.

I am grateful for the healing power of our storiesby sharing them we have the ability to heal.—Until I was able to admit openly my struggle with depression, healing was pretty much null and void. But when I began to share—which happened because I finally was able to witness my story in my heart—the healing began, and continues…

What is it like for you to feel and know your own story?

I am grateful for the gifts of strength and survival that we were created with, so that even in the midst of suffering, somehow we have the courage to live—it always amazed me in my days as a spiritual counselor in the hospitals, how those who decided they were not going to be defined by their illness and instead continued to be themselves, were the ones who lived life, and those who let their fear consume them, or the disease define them, slowly or quickly withered. Your journey of healing is effected by how you make sense of and share your story of suffering, illness, loss, divorce, etc.

When I was afraid of my depression, it consumed me—I didn’t want to admit it was a part of me so my depression had control, but when I accepted that “My depression is a part of me, but I will not let it define me,” I became in control, and my healing journey continues to happen because this has become the  story I now live my life by.

  • When you are ready, put your own words in place of mine or create your own powerful statement! And if you already have one–congratulations to you!

How has sharing your story lead to healing in your life?

A Healing Blessing from Me to You:

May you be surrounded by healing love, a healing love that comes from all of creation, and gently and powerfully calls your name. And in those moments when you cry out, may the depths of your heart be heard by all the angels who are there to protect you and by the love of the Divine–who is there to carry you when you don’t have the strength to carry yourself. And may all the blessings that are good & pure and full of light & harmony be with you now and always.

Healing Through Inspiration Can Lead to Your Own Success Story

I’ve always needed a bit more motivation on Mondays! Like the saying goes,” when you look you shall find!” In my search for healing I came across this article, Lee Rhodes, Glassybaby: A Battle With Cancer Gives Life To A Startup in the Huffington Post. Ms. Rhodes shares how she had an inspiring moment of healing in her life, which lead to her creating art that inspires healing in other individual’s lives. She has created a company out of her healing and inspiration. It is helpful to hear and share other individual’s stories–they affirm your own experiences of healing; and they motivate you to see your potential!

When we allow ourselves to be open to moments of healing, incredible things can happen! Maybe Lee Rhodes’ story will bring inspiration into your creative life as well. I know it has for me.

How has an experience of healing or the process of healing inspired you to share yourself with others? Share your comments!

For me, my healing journey has inspired me to share my passion for writing and photography with others, through my blog and other avenues in my life.
