Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together.
–Marilyn Monroe.
The last few days I have been navigating uncharted waters. I’m trying to figure out which direction to take on my current life journey, and I am really unsure where the compass is trying to lead me. The needle is always supposed to face North, but somehow the electromagnetic pull is out of sync, and it’s leading me all over the place. More simply stated: I’m not liking the idea of change in my life.
How about you? How do you deal with change?
I’m particularly good at dealing with change by being anxious. I get anxious about the unknown future ahead of me when big changes could possibly happen. And instead of being able to be right in the moment…LIVE FOR THE MOMENT…I’m already 2, 000 miles ahead of myself saying…BUT WHAT IF…? But I know this isn’t always the healthiest way to deal…
For those of you who’ve been with me on this journey, you have probably noticed I write when I’m anxious. It really does center me. And I really need grounding when I’m feeling lost.
I always come up with things to help me:
- My biggest help often is my faith…or at least turning to the Divine and remembering, “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jer. 29:11). These words are helpful to me, they are words that I turn to when I do feel lost or unsure.
- Sometimes, it’s turning to Beauty, and Nature.
- Sometimes it’s emotionally connecting to those I trust and Love.—being listened to, talking it out, recieving their points of view.
- Sometimes it’s remembering how much my son & pets trust that I will take care of them…and remembering that if my energy of love & care is being put into the universe, in return, I can only receive love and care back.
So, I want to say thank you to each of you, for sharing in my journey and for accompanying me with your support.
- Where does your guidance come from when you are unsure of choices you have in front of you?
- How do you discover which path to take?
For no one person can know all, that’s why we need each other, and have each other to share in the journey.–Bella Bleue
THANK YOU.

Not sure if my last comment posted, however you’re articles are beautiful, uplifting and encouraging. I’m starting a new website for a new church I just joined and would love to have you write for us once it is up and running. That scripture was so beautiful and the content, so relevant. Even if you are not interested, keep up the wonderful work.
I would be happy to talk with you more, and understand what you are looking for. Thank you for your affirmations, and congratulations on the formation of a New Church and community. My email is bella.bleue.healing@gmail.com. I’d love to hear about the community you are building, and what kinds of needs your community will have. If its easier you can use the contact form link at the top of my page…if you could leave me an email that you’d like me to communicate with you at that would be great too!
Blessings upon your journey each and every day, Erin
Erin, I hear you. The growth comes form feeling those feelings and moving forwards anyway. We only overcome a fear or anxiety by looking at it, acknowledging it and then moving around or through it. When you have doubts, think back to a time when you overcame a previous doubt, remember what you did and how you did it. Remember how you felt afterwards. Then, know you can do it again. 🙂
Thanks Stu, that’s a great reminder! Going back to times when thought we couldn’t overcome something, and we did. Remembering moments of strength is such an easy gift we can give ourselves when in doubt, as you say! Blessings, Erin
– Where does your guidance come from when you are unsure of choices you have in front of you? Pretty much all the places you mentioned you get yours from – for me walks and just meditating in nature are the biggest. One I could add is encounters, chance or otherwise, with other people. I believe these encounters occur because there are messages we need to exchange and sometimes these encounters can include answers to questions we are having/have asked and inspiration ideas. Another way for us to “hear from the Universe.”
– How do you discover which path to take? By listening to my loving inner voice when all the others shut up so I can hear her and dreams. Sometimes on a walk I’ll ask a question and the answer sometimes is just a word, an image or a event. I use my dream world to get advice/inspiration also.
Thank you so much for you words. I hadn’t thought of encounters, but that is so on the button—so often we meet people we need to so that words or messages that we need to hear are revealed to us. I like this.
And how beautiful that you can hear your own voice of love. I still work on allowing her to have power in my life, and what she is trying to say…but hearing how you turn to your inner voice, reminds me that I too can turn to mine. That every one of us can turn to this inner part of ourselves.
And I too love walks…so often there is something in the rhythm of our steps and the wonder around us, that like you say, a word, image or event is revealed to us.
Blessings, Erin
Erin — As usual, your innate wisdom shines through in your post.
It is not always easy to distinquish instinct from intuition or to otherwise decide upon which route to take when we reach a fork in the road. I have found that I feel a strong sense of overall peace when I am on the right path and in the flow. Even if moments of fear or doubt arise, I can trust that, one way or another, it will all be “okay” if I follow in the direction I am guided. Faith and trust should always go hand in hand; but especially in times of change. Thanks for your wonderful insights!
Blessings,
Sloan
Thank you, Sloan. I needed to hear this. It’s funny, how faith does work…that faith will lead you to people who can affirm your journey…You’ve offered me this today. Trusting in the “way I am guided”…that too is very powerful. It’s taking the time to be truly honest with myself, and to LISTEN, so that I can be open to receiving this guidance.
You too have beautiful wisdom.
Blessings, Erin
