Connecting to the wonder we are, Inspiration

Spring into Hope

The last couple days, I’ve been needing LIGHT in my life. Light that brightens my spirits, comforts my heart, and reminds me that there is HOPE.

Yesterday was a miserable winter day, and my heart was weary. It was the kind of day, where you remember the things you’ve put aside, because you’re working at healing from them, and then they just pop up uninvited. However, when I awoke this morning to the sun shining through my window I was filled with a pleasantness within, a sense of hope, and a feeling of “You’re going to be okay.”

It is such a gift to know that when we were created that Light itself in nature, was created with us, to heal, to provide hope, to offer warmth, to inspire, to create growth, etc. All of these are gifts that bring our spirits to a place of goodness, and wonder. And it is a free gift that just shows up.

Today is the first day of spring in the Northern hemisphere. I haven’t seen my tulips yet, but I am hopeful.

First Day of Spring

Yes, I am HOPEFULL.**

May you be blessed today with LIGHT and may your day be full of HOPE!

Springtime in the City-Nature’s Inspiring Sights

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice! for your soul is alive!

–Eleanora Duse

Sometimes amongst the chaos of our daily lives: getting up, going to work, taking your kids to daycare, trying not to spill your coffee as you run out the door, honking horns, too many commuters, late trains, over-packed trains, clients, bosses, staff meetings, etc., it’s nice to find a garden in bloom reminding you that, life does give you permission to pause!

But of course you have to take the time to notice. Give yourself the gift of taking a break!

Why not pleasure your eyes with all the beauty and color around you?!

During my working days, I was always really good at saying, “I don’t have time!” to take even 5 minutes to go outside and enjoy the fresh air and natural world. But now that I’ve had time to reflect, I realize I did have the time; I just didn’t give myself the permission to take a break.

Life isn’t about how many hours we’ve worked in a day, but about the moments we choose to give ourselves during the day.

Happy Spring from NYC!

  • Make a note to yourself how different you feel on the days you take a break versus the days you don’t.
  • Your health and well-being are going to give you a more fulfilled life–filling your life with busyness that doesn’t make you happy deters your health, So
  • Pause and soak up the colors of nature and life!
